From the reviews
I’ve had mixed experiences coming to this studio, but overall I’m feeling a little let down. I’ve been a CPY member for two years in studios across Oregon and CA, and there are a few issues I’ve noticed with this studio in particular: To confirm the other reviews, parking is confusing—but there is limited parking in…
The two teachers I've experienced at this location have both been great! The heat is half the challenge for me, still undecided whether hot yoga is for me, kind of wish warm yoga was a thing! Really appreciate the community classes CorePower Yoga offers. ♡♡♡♡ The facilities could use some upkeep/maintenance though...

This is a great location to workout - with ample space in the classes and dressing room. Apparently they’re adding a new class soon which will provide even more variety. The staff is welcoming and Paulina must be one of the top three teachers in all of Los Angeles. A great spot overall!
Teacher training at CorePower Yoga - Beverly Grove
CorePower Yoga - Beverly Grove comes up for teacher training — confirmed on their own site. If you're thinking about becoming an instructor, a few things are worth asking up front. First, which certification the program leads to — most hot-yoga trainings are Yoga Alliance registered (RYT-200 or RYT-500), and the style matters: a Bikram or hot-power lineage trains differently than a hot-vinyasa or sculpt one. Second, the schedule and prerequisites — cohorts often run in intensive weekend blocks or over several months, and many studios want you practicing regularly there first. Third, cost and payment plans, and whether tuition includes an unlimited membership for the training period. Teacher training is a real commitment of time and money, so it's worth a call or an info session before you enroll.
Your first hot yoga class at CorePower Yoga - Beverly Grove
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
