I just returned to yoga after a 10 year hiatus, and the folks at the Louisville Studio (and frankly the entire Core Power organization regardless of the studio) have been incredibly welcoming, friendly, patient – and very encouraging.
"Where we learn and grow" is a genuinely inspiring phrase highlighting the importance of constantly expanding our knowledge and improving ourselves. It reminds us that every experience, every challenge, and every opportunity is a chance to learn and become a better version of ourselves.
5:45am would not be complete without Heidi :Mon (sculpt) & Tues (C2) Maura: Weds (sculpt) Mark: Friday (C2) (Honorable mentions to the subs who have pitched in to help take care of their team. Nancy, Jamie and Nicole.) The morning crew at this place is great.
CorePower Louisville is amazing. It’s a great community of supportive folks who care about their physical and mental health. I’ve been taking sculpt classes there for 10 years and it’s still an awesome full body workout every time. All of the instructors bring their own style but my favorite is Cat.
Your first hot yoga class at CorePower Yoga - Louisville
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel (or rent them here), water, and a change of clothes — there are showers on site; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
