“First time doing hot yoga!”

From the reviews

I really love it here and I want to give 5 stars, but parking is seriously an issue. They tell you to get there 15 minutes early, but you can't if there was a class before yours, because there's very limited space. The classes and instructors are all amazing, it's just stessful to find parking.

I've been coming to this yoga studio on and off for years, but lately have started attending classes more regularly. I have nothing but great things to say about the place: it's clean, everyone is friendly, and the classes are are a great workout.

★★★★★ — Anne, Nov 2022

Fab instructors, impressive classmates but they were not overbearing. I feel slightly sore but enjoyed each class I took there. The free week promo is great. I'm looking forward to trying Scottsdale out. I did think the store mats were getting a bit old. I liked the wet facecloth at the end.

First time doing hot yoga! The instructor was great, and gave options for all skill levels at each step. Great way to start my week! I'll be back for sure.

Your first hot yoga class at CorePower Yoga - Tempe/ASU

Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel (or rent them here), water, and a change of clothes — there are showers on site; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.

Heat and intense exercise aren't right for everyone — if you're pregnant or have heart, blood-pressure, or other health concerns, check with a doctor before your first hot class.
