“The Slow Flow classes are a perfect challenge for me, and I am oh so in love with Restorative Flow too.”
“I'm glad I took the intro class before taking the regular classes, because I'll admit it was a little intimidating and more challenging than I'm used to!”
What's on offer
What students say again and again
“I went back for the first time in a few years and they immediately offered me a water (I forgot mine), encouraged me to ask questions and go at my own pace.”
“Both of us have done some yoga but aren’t super well versed, and the instructors here do a great job of explaining without it feeling like they’re talking down to you.”
From the reviews
There is something special about the yoga experience at Funky Buddha. It’s a such positive vibe! From being greeted walking in, as you share your practice, until you walk out empowered to embrace the rest of your day with peace and ease. The best part for me is that at Funky Buddha Sangha has become Ohana ❤️
I had an amazing experience at Funky Buddha in Eastown! Attending their free yoga day class was a fantastic way to get a taste of what they offer. The Power Flow class I tried was absolutely incredible, especially for someone like me who loves hot yoga.
My friend and I did our first class a few weeks ago and absolutely fell in love! Both of us have done some yoga but aren’t super well versed, and the instructors here do a great job of explaining without it feeling like they’re talking down to you.
Great vinyasa yoga classes, warm but not unbearably hot. Classes are never exactly the same, and all the instructors are great. They give guidance so you can make the flow as easy or as hard as you like.
Teacher training at Funky Buddha Yoga Hothouse
Funky Buddha Yoga Hothouse comes up for teacher training — confirmed on their own site. If you're thinking about becoming an instructor, a few things are worth asking up front. First, which certification the program leads to — most hot-yoga trainings are Yoga Alliance registered (RYT-200 or RYT-500), and the style matters: a Bikram or hot-power lineage trains differently than a hot-vinyasa or sculpt one. Second, the schedule and prerequisites — cohorts often run in intensive weekend blocks or over several months, and many studios want you practicing regularly there first. Third, cost and payment plans, and whether tuition includes an unlimited membership for the training period. Teacher training is a real commitment of time and money, so it's worth a call or an info session before you enroll.
Your first hot yoga class at Funky Buddha Yoga Hothouse
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
