From the reviews
This is one of my top favorite studios of all time. Not just because it is my favorite yoga routine. The routine here was formally known as the Bikram method for 60 years and is the original hot yoga method. The majority of studios in America still utilize this routine.
I attended the Bellingham Bikram Yoga classes for three months last fall. The staff are very professional and knowledgeable. The teachers stick to the strict regime that Bikram wants and every class I attended was consistently taught with a focus on the flow and proper alignment.
I’ve been practicing since 1999, in a lot of cities...this is one of the nicer studios....Clean, calm, filtered water, decent dressing room, well trained teachers, large practice space...I’m grateful to have it here in Bellingham!
This studio is welcoming, encouraging and the real deal! What a lovely community of yogis to be a part of! I recommend it to anyone local or traveling through that want an authentic Hatha Yoga experience.
Your first hot yoga class at Hatha Yoga Bellingham
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
