This community and the teachers are amazing! Very helpful and informative. A friendly atmosphere-for all practitioners and levels. You have got to check this studio out! Great pricing options as well! Heated and non-heated classes.
One Love Yoga is such a gem in Harrisburg! The owner is one of the most down to earth people I know and she cares so much about her customers. This trickles down through all the staff, who are truly passionate teachers and yogis — they always encourage the best for their students and make you feel so welcome.
By no means am I an expert yoga participant- but after a stressful week and a long drive to Hershey, I found One Love Yoga . I made an appointment online for the yin class and the hot yoga classes. What a perfect evening! The first class , the yin - it was slow paced , relaxing and soothing to my stressed out body!
I had the best experience at One Love Yoga! I went with 2 people who had never done yoga and were nervous coming into the class. Our instructor, Jackie, was wonderful. She spent time with each of us to make sure we were doing the poses correctly and helped us all feel at ease.
Teacher training at One Love Yoga
One Love Yoga comes up for teacher training — confirmed on their own site. If you're thinking about becoming an instructor, a few things are worth asking up front. First, which certification the program leads to — most hot-yoga trainings are Yoga Alliance registered (RYT-200 or RYT-500), and the style matters: a Bikram or hot-power lineage trains differently than a hot-vinyasa or sculpt one. Second, the schedule and prerequisites — cohorts often run in intensive weekend blocks or over several months, and many studios want you practicing regularly there first. Third, cost and payment plans, and whether tuition includes an unlimited membership for the training period. Teacher training is a real commitment of time and money, so it's worth a call or an info session before you enroll.
Your first hot yoga class at One Love Yoga
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
