From the reviews
I cannot tell you how much I adore Alli and her crew. Everyone is extremely professional and knowledgeable when I come to yoga. In my opinion, yoga/hot yoga is fantastic for so many different reasons! Yoga has helped me personally with my flexibility, breathing, and mood.
I came for the yoga and stayed for the community (and the awesome power yoga of course!) As someone who has done yoga on and off throughout my life, this studio was the place that finally encouraged me to establish a regular yoga practice. Fast forward 7+ years and it is my home away from home!
Tried out a new yoga studio and I’m so glad I did! The power hot yoga class was amazing—the temperature was just right to really loosen up and sink into a deep stretch. I also loved the Hot Pilates Yoga , which were excellent for strengthening my core and supporting my lower back.
Obsessed with this yoga studio! There dedication to the community and there students is something to be admired! They gave me a sense of home and friendship when it was severely lacking in my life while also helping me to dive deeper into my yoga practice, giving me confidence in poses I never thought I could do.
Teacher training at Pav Yoga / Hot Power Yoga
Pav Yoga / Hot Power Yoga comes up for teacher training — confirmed on their own site. If you're thinking about becoming an instructor, a few things are worth asking up front. First, which certification the program leads to — most hot-yoga trainings are Yoga Alliance registered (RYT-200 or RYT-500), and the style matters: a Bikram or hot-power lineage trains differently than a hot-vinyasa or sculpt one. Second, the schedule and prerequisites — cohorts often run in intensive weekend blocks or over several months, and many studios want you practicing regularly there first. Third, cost and payment plans, and whether tuition includes an unlimited membership for the training period. Teacher training is a real commitment of time and money, so it's worth a call or an info session before you enroll.
Your first hot yoga class at Pav Yoga / Hot Power Yoga
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
