From the reviews
I have been on a number of retreats with Morgan, and they never fall short of amazing. You don’t have to worry about a thing. I show up to a foreign country and know that Morgan has everything planned down to a T.
Aside from hŌM being the most beautiful studio in Austin, the energy and community here are unmatched. This isn’t your typical corporate style yoga, it’s deeply intentional, and rooted in yogic philosophy.
Been a Homie since the studio first opened and still going strong! Love love love the classes, the teachers, and the community here. I get a lot out of being a member -- my physical, mental and emotion wellbeing gets tended to (so really it's an incredible deal). Such a gem of a spot.
BEST yoga studio in ATX!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND - all instructors are so knowledgable of the yoga foundations & great workout. The studio has a family feel -the owner (Morgan) is such an incredible teacher & person and has built such a great HOM community. A HUGE plus is Morgan does yoga retreats around the world!!
Teacher training at Present Practice Yoga - Downtown Austin
Present Practice Yoga - Downtown Austin comes up for teacher training — confirmed on their own site. If you're thinking about becoming an instructor, a few things are worth asking up front. First, which certification the program leads to — most hot-yoga trainings are Yoga Alliance registered (RYT-200 or RYT-500), and the style matters: a Bikram or hot-power lineage trains differently than a hot-vinyasa or sculpt one. Second, the schedule and prerequisites — cohorts often run in intensive weekend blocks or over several months, and many studios want you practicing regularly there first. Third, cost and payment plans, and whether tuition includes an unlimited membership for the training period. Teacher training is a real commitment of time and money, so it's worth a call or an info session before you enroll.
Your first hot yoga class at Present Practice Yoga - Downtown Austin
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
