From the reviews
A friend of mine invited me to a hot pilates class here, and I went without truly understanding what I was even getting into. When she said "bring a towel" I literally brought a hand towel not one the size of my mat.
Wonderful folks, incredibly talented teachers, and a welcoming, cozy atmosphere. SHY offers so many types of classes from vinyasa to bikram, and fusion to restorative classes. They offer hot classes along with warm classes, to appeal to ALL ability types.
Kerri, proprietor for Sandpoint Hot Yoga has done an amazing job creating an environment so very welcoming and conducive to continuing the practice of yoga and other Fitness disciplines such as Pilates and Barre. We are currently enjoying the privilege of a spring challenge offering up even more class selections.
Chelsey is hands down my favorite vinyasa teacher. Her classes are the perfect balance of strength, flow, and mindfulness. She cues clearly, offers thoughtful adjustments, and somehow makes every class feel both grounding and energizing. You can tell she genuinely cares about her students and the space she creates.
Your first hot yoga class at Sandpoint Hot Yoga
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
