Clean Yoga studio with blessings of the Guru lineages. Classes depend on the instructors. I love the chant (Jaya Tree mantra?) after class by Tony. It’s so soothing. Beverly is another great instructor. She will correct every details in a pose. Doing it the right way is big in her class.
This was my first studio to regularly practice Bikram. It was such a lovely space to learn and to feel comfortable and connected to the community and the teachers.
Bikram Yoga Oakland feels like home: great community of students, always trained teachers and well-heated room. Like other review mentions here, it’s hard to find a dedicated hot yoga - bikram yoga - studio these days, but oakland studio keeps it the traditional way.
A legitimate bikram (hot) yoga practice is hard to find. This one is great. Great class, instructor, and studio. Keep it going.

What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
