From the reviews
I have been a regular here for more than three years, and honestly, I hesitated to write this because part of me wanted to keep this place to myself. This studio is more than just a place to practice, it truly feels like a second home and a safe space.
I’m so glad I came across Yoga6. The parking is easy, and the studio is always clean. What really stands out to me, though, is the warmth of the staff—Peyton and the teachers Katie M, Katie B, Tiffany, and especially Amber.
Run don’t walk! It’s been about three months now since I started and so happy I did. Truly building a little community and enjoying meeting so many great people. There are plenty of types of classes at many different times. I easily found a routine that works with my schedule. Shout out to Natalye and Katie!
I love this yoga studio! The space is always super clean and welcoming, and they offer a great variety of class types. The instructors are friendly, knowledgeable, and truly help you get the most out of each session. Highly recommend!
Teacher training at YogaSix Oyster Point
YogaSix Oyster Point comes up for teacher training — confirmed on their own site. If you're thinking about becoming an instructor, a few things are worth asking up front. First, which certification the program leads to — most hot-yoga trainings are Yoga Alliance registered (RYT-200 or RYT-500), and the style matters: a Bikram or hot-power lineage trains differently than a hot-vinyasa or sculpt one. Second, the schedule and prerequisites — cohorts often run in intensive weekend blocks or over several months, and many studios want you practicing regularly there first. Third, cost and payment plans, and whether tuition includes an unlimited membership for the training period. Teacher training is a real commitment of time and money, so it's worth a call or an info session before you enroll.
Your first hot yoga class at YogaSix Oyster Point
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
