From the reviews
I am so incredibly grateful to have found this wonderful place. I have only been a member (with unlimited monthly classes) for a little over 2 months now, and it has seriously changed my life in so many positive ways, in such little time.
Absolutely love Anahata! I recently started doing the aerial yoga classes and it is amazing! They have great options for beginners and more advanced students. Paula is a wonderful instructor who makes every session fun. She is great at explaining how to move and modifying poses to make them easier or harder.
This yoga studio is for all experience levels and the teachers make you feel welcome. Every class and every teacher offers options for poses if you are a beginner to exceptional level. This small woman owned business is a gem in the community. I highly recommend everyone interested in yoga to give it a try.
This studio is profound for a variety of reasons. The instructors are so amazing and helpful. You are absolutely not going to find a better price. The schedule is so flexible and allows for various options. The classes push your growth and practice. Never been happier.
Teacher training at Anahata Yoga Center
Anahata Yoga Center comes up for teacher training — confirmed on their own site. If you're thinking about becoming an instructor, a few things are worth asking up front. First, which certification the program leads to — most hot-yoga trainings are Yoga Alliance registered (RYT-200 or RYT-500), and the style matters: a Bikram or hot-power lineage trains differently than a hot-vinyasa or sculpt one. Second, the schedule and prerequisites — cohorts often run in intensive weekend blocks or over several months, and many studios want you practicing regularly there first. Third, cost and payment plans, and whether tuition includes an unlimited membership for the training period. Teacher training is a real commitment of time and money, so it's worth a call or an info session before you enroll.
Your first hot yoga class at Anahata Yoga Center
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
