From the reviews
Be Yoga is amazing. The LOVE and community and support and heart is the most prominent part of the experience here. Just good people with hearts wide open. They offer so many different classes and community events and ways to be involved, it’s so much more than your average yoga studio.
An amazing yoga studio space that I've been going to for years. Great Baptiste style classes, a sweet community of thoughtful people, interesting workshops, and accessible for the highway and public transportation in Staten Island. Here is a video of an outdoor event that I did with Be Yoga in Staten Island.
The community at Be Yoga is inclusive, welcoming and reflects a real diversity of levels, ages and backgrounds. The leaders are knowledgeable and their classes always leave me feeling stronger, more relaxed and connected to myself. New students are welcome to try their first class for free! 👏👏👏
Be Yoga is my sanctuary From the moment you step through the doors at Be Yoga, you can feel it—the warmth, the authenticity, the love of a community that truly cares. This is more than just a yoga studio; it’s a sanctuary.
Teacher training at Be Yoga SI
Be Yoga SI comes up for teacher training — confirmed on their own site. If you're thinking about becoming an instructor, a few things are worth asking up front. First, which certification the program leads to — most hot-yoga trainings are Yoga Alliance registered (RYT-200 or RYT-500), and the style matters: a Bikram or hot-power lineage trains differently than a hot-vinyasa or sculpt one. Second, the schedule and prerequisites — cohorts often run in intensive weekend blocks or over several months, and many studios want you practicing regularly there first. Third, cost and payment plans, and whether tuition includes an unlimited membership for the training period. Teacher training is a real commitment of time and money, so it's worth a call or an info session before you enroll.
Your first hot yoga class at Be Yoga SI
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
