From the reviews
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Gem in Staten Island: Some Like It Hot Yoga This review is long overdue because my experience here was nothing short of amazing. As active-duty military who has lived overseas for almost 15 years, I only come home to NY during the holidays. I reside in South-East Asia.
I decided to get a one month unlimited pass back in August. For one month, I learned how to better control my mind, realized my body is capable of more than I thought, and found peace in the journey.
From the very first day, my experience at this yoga studio has been truly exceptional, and it continues to exceed my expectations. As someone completely new to yoga, I walked in unsure of what to expect, but I was immediately met with warmth, encouragement, and a genuine sense of belonging.
If you are looking for relaxation, a great stretch, and to test your endurance the 26&2 is for you! Want something INTENSE the ignite class, somewhere in between?? The Barre class. I have fallen in love with the offerings of Some Like it Hot. But please know that Hot Yoga is not your average Vinyasa.
Your first hot yoga class at Some Like It Hot Yoga& Wellness
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
