From the reviews

Since I started practicing at this studio 7 months ago, I am simply a nicer person. The tone is one of celebration of the shared effort it takes to “show up” and do what you are able to on any given day. It is clear that the yogi’s take their craft seriously and are well-trained.

I really liked this studio - the instructor was rock-solid and focused, and I felt like outside worries just melted away. Room was well heated and very steamy - one of the hotter classrooms I have ever been to.

This is not just a class, its a family . Tried a class in May and wasn't sure if I could handle it. Now I am a regular. What I learnt... Life Changing Experience. The Best Decision I've ever made ! It was my first time doing hot yoga. I did not know what to expect, besides heat. Existing members were so friendly and the staff were so supportive; and professional. Throughout the class they were paying attention to how I was doing making sure I was okay.

Your first hot yoga class at Bikram Yoga Danbury

Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.

Heat and intense exercise aren't right for everyone — if you're pregnant or have heart, blood-pressure, or other health concerns, check with a doctor before your first hot class.
