From the reviews
"You bring the body you have today to the mat." Some of them are sleek and infinitely flexible. Most of them are managing old injuries, or new limitations. All of them are welcome, are necessary, to the community created at Dayaalu.
A decades long yoga dabbler of everything from Ashtanga to Bikram to “gym” yoga, when we moved to Bainbridge Island, I searched for a yoga studio and found so much more than that in the community that is Dayaalu Center.
We found the Dayaalu Spa by chance while looking for a place to have a "Meet & Greet" for our son's destination wedding on Bainbridge Island. It was Providence indeed! The place was perfect! Anyone who has ever had to plan such an event long distance knows that it can be quite a challenge.
About 8 years ago while cat and chicken sitting for a friend of my friend living on Baingridge Island I discovered the Dayaalu Center. A year later, during December/January i was cat sitting for my dear friend Renata, again enjoying the various yoga classes.
Your first hot yoga class at Dayaalu Center
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
