From the reviews
I have been going to Onyx Yoga Studio for approximately 2 months, and I am hooked. The way I feel after I leave class, strong in both mind and body, stays with me all day.
Deepest gratitude to Gopi Yoga Center for being a Bhakti sanctuary during the 3 days of my touring through Central NJ. I found the Center when I most needed it, when I was emotionally and physically exhausted mid tour and needed to refill my cup.
This is the first time I try hot or warm yoga and I'm in love with it. I can feel that the heat really help me to stretch more, I'm very stiff and I really need to work on my flexibility and mobility and so far this classes are helping me a lot.
Very welcoming environment. The 30 days for beginners is an awesome opportunity to try a wide variety or classes with different instructors. Tiffany is absolutely lovely, and the hot yoga sessions are AMAZING - A wide variety of classes and friendly, experienced teachers.
Teacher training at Gopi Yoga Center - Open During Class Times
Gopi Yoga Center - Open During Class Times comes up for teacher training — confirmed on their own site. If you're thinking about becoming an instructor, a few things are worth asking up front. First, which certification the program leads to — most hot-yoga trainings are Yoga Alliance registered (RYT-200 or RYT-500), and the style matters: a Bikram or hot-power lineage trains differently than a hot-vinyasa or sculpt one. Second, the schedule and prerequisites — cohorts often run in intensive weekend blocks or over several months, and many studios want you practicing regularly there first. Third, cost and payment plans, and whether tuition includes an unlimited membership for the training period. Teacher training is a real commitment of time and money, so it's worth a call or an info session before you enroll.
Your first hot yoga class at Gopi Yoga Center - Open During Class Times
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
