From the reviews
I’ve been coming to JALA for a couple months now and i absolutely love it here!!! Great instructors for all different types of classes and workshops. The atmosphere is very peaceful and comfortable. I definitely recommend anyone that wants to try JALA hot yoga it’s a great spiritual place and physical work out!!!
Jala Hot Yoga is a hidden gem on the east end, offering a stunning, state-of-the-art facility with top-notch amenities at an affordable price. Lauren, the studio's founder, is a warm and attentive instructor with a calming voice who makes everyone feel welcome.
Jala has evolved my life in such a significant way. The instructors are transcendent. The Shala is calming and you will leave feeling rejuvenated and restored. Whether you get rocked in Claudia’s Hot core class or flow through a vinyasa flow with Lauren or Laura you’re going to have your energy moved.
This place is great! Lauren, the owner, put in much thought and effort in creating this beautiful space. Such a pretty space with tons of natural light and kept so CLEAN. Side note , waze takes you on a strange route and cannot find the studio and places you in a residential area behind the studio.
Teacher training at Jala Hot Yoga
Jala Hot Yoga comes up for teacher training — confirmed on their own site. If you're thinking about becoming an instructor, a few things are worth asking up front. First, which certification the program leads to — most hot-yoga trainings are Yoga Alliance registered (RYT-200 or RYT-500), and the style matters: a Bikram or hot-power lineage trains differently than a hot-vinyasa or sculpt one. Second, the schedule and prerequisites — cohorts often run in intensive weekend blocks or over several months, and many studios want you practicing regularly there first. Third, cost and payment plans, and whether tuition includes an unlimited membership for the training period. Teacher training is a real commitment of time and money, so it's worth a call or an info session before you enroll.
Your first hot yoga class at Jala Hot Yoga
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes — there are showers on site; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
