Long ago, this was a YogaWorks (pre-Covid) but there is a vast difference between then and now. Whereas YW was clearly a business, Love Story is exactly what you’d expect from a yoga studio - warm, friendly, understanding and embracing of all that yoga represents.
Beautiful space, easy parking, window side for cooler spaces and the other side is hotter for people who prefer it to be, and wonderful teachers. Personal favorites are Anna Hughes, Stephanie Snyder, and Haley Havelock.
After moving up to Marin from the city, I was thrilled to see one of my favorite yoga studios opening up in Country Mart. Love Story Larkspur is a beautiful space with a mix of indoor and outdoor classes, and phenomenal experienced teachers.
I've have been practicing with Love Story Yoga since they first open on Valencia Street in 2017. I've been a long time student of one the owners Stephanie Snyder.
Your first hot yoga class at Love Story Yoga - Larkspur
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
