From the reviews

Danny is an amazing instructor and studio owner. His team offers the highest quality hot yoga in town and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Bikram yoga Key West is a staple, it’s been here since 1985 and counting! If you are new to yoga get the first timer special and go as much as possible.

Mata Yoga is a great revitalization and continuation of one of the oldest Bikram method yoga studios on the east coast. The instructors are well experienced and each a bit different in their approach so you can gain an even broader appreciation/practice of the same yoga by going to different classes.

Just visited Key West for the weekend and did a class with Danny. He was a great instructor and we had a good time. Definitely recommend this studio for anyone who likes Bikram and wants to challenge their mind and body. If you’ve never done Bikram before do some research to prepare and you’ll have a good time.

Mata Yoga is the same school I have been practicing hot yoga at since 2005, when it was an unofficial Bikram studio at Harrison School. What a long way it (and I) have come! Love these teachers, students, and community. This is the school that has kept me a superhero. Thank you, Mata Yoga.

Your first hot yoga class at Mata Yoga Key West

Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.

Heat and intense exercise aren't right for everyone — if you're pregnant or have heart, blood-pressure, or other health concerns, check with a doctor before your first hot class.
