From the reviews
Arriving at mend studio, I was welcomed by a clearly historical, yet tastefully renovated entrance staircase. The small, yet charming studio was clean and inviting. On this early Friday, I was taking the HIIT class. The class was less of a yoga class a more of a group fitness class, which was to be expected.
As an overnight baby nurse and postpartum doula, I dedicate my time to supporting families in Rhode Island. While caring for others, it’s been challenging to find a space that prioritizes my own mental and physical well-being—but I’m so grateful to have found one.
We took a group private class at mend for a bachelorette party, all levels vinyasa! It was SO lovely!! The studio space is so warm and inviting, our teacher was fun/inspiring/helpful, and all the amenities of the space were great (cute mats, lavender towels, cork yoga blocks — all you could need).
I've visited plenty of yoga studios and hands down Mend has got it going on. They have a great mix of classes with Vinyasa Power Flow w/ weights being one of the most challenging yoga classes. Every instructor is unique in their own practice and the Mend experience gets better with every visit.
Your first hot yoga class at mend yoga
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
