From the reviews
I started coming to Modern Movement Yoga back in May of this year when I moved to the Point Hope area. What I originally thought would be just another yoga studio to try out, maybe a good workout and a place to get settled, quickly became exactly what I needed during a difficult transition in my personal life.
This is an incredible studio with incredible instructors! Wide variety of class type and difficulty. Instructors are very talented. All levels are truly welcome and I’ve never felt uncomfortable, even if I can’t do the move or need an extra break.
The ModPilates class is challenging but so fun! The instructor brought such great energy that kept everyone motivated the whole time. I left feeling accomplished, sweaty, and already excited for the next one! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great workout and good vibes.
I've been going to Modern Movement Yoga since they first opened, and I can't say enough good things about this place! The community they've built is truly special—it feels more like a family than just a place to work out.
Your first hot yoga class at Modern Movement Yoga
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
