My friend talked me into trying yoga a year ago. I LOVED it, and the schedule didn't always fit my crazy schedule. She then talked me into trying Monroe Yoga. I signed up on a special, and within 2 classes, I KNEW I had to get the membership!! The schedules vary enough that I can go several times a week.
If you would like to try yoga for the first time or would like to establish a home studio for your experienced practice you will delight in this studio’s charming aesthetic. The studio is situated along the River Raisin on the northwest corner of Front and Macomb Streets.
I had not practiced yoga on a regular schedule until joining Monroe Yoga, and the variety of classes and instructors keep it fun, mindful, and beneficial ! I am sleeping better, getting more toned, feeling less stressed, meeting new people, and sweating alot (haha) i really like it!!
Monroe yoga has been life changing, love the routines and the comfort of the studio. Great atmosphere and trainers!! I feel better everyday and will continue to do so. Thank you

Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
