From the reviews
We came at recommendation of a friend and Wow this place is fabulous, Over delivers on an experience of thermal saunas, relaxation rooms, steam room, yoga classes, and spa treatments. Delicious raw juices. Sadly no food, Why? We found the staff and the people here very nice for the most part.
I have been traveling with Raffa Travel for past year and love the places Raffa Travel takes us too and the well thought out and perfectly balanced itineraries. Greece, Galagapos, Tuscany, Portugal, Croatia - WOW!! Thank you Christine Raffa for expanding the Raffa Yoga and Urban sweat community to include travel!
I have experienced your Urban sweat many times. I have to say that every time I go, I leave feeling so refreshed, rejuvenated, and like a whole new person. For anybody looking to experience this amazing session has to know how great it is, how clean it is, and how amazing your staff is.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE Angela as a teacher. She is so fun and I love her energy in so many ways. This class is so fun. It doesn't even feel like exercise, but the sweat and the results tells a different story. 😃
Teacher training at Raffa Yoga & Urban Sweat Spa
Raffa Yoga & Urban Sweat Spa comes up for teacher training, going by their listing and students’ reviews. If you're thinking about becoming an instructor, a few things are worth asking up front. First, which certification the program leads to — most hot-yoga trainings are Yoga Alliance registered (RYT-200 or RYT-500), and the style matters: a Bikram or hot-power lineage trains differently than a hot-vinyasa or sculpt one. Second, the schedule and prerequisites — cohorts often run in intensive weekend blocks or over several months, and many studios want you practicing regularly there first. Third, cost and payment plans, and whether tuition includes an unlimited membership for the training period. Teacher training is a real commitment of time and money, so it's worth a call or an info session before you enroll.
Your first hot yoga class at Raffa Yoga & Urban Sweat Spa
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
