From the reviews
This is by far the best hot yoga studio in town! The instructors are top notch and very knowledgeable. I really like both studios but the Utica location is much smaller than the South location. I've attended both and they are always clean which is important to me.
Always challenging and fun! Instructors are knowledgeable in their art...always encouraging you to do your best (both on and off the mat). Keri, Ana, and Veronica - wonderful, beautiful yoga practitioners, people, and instructors - I highly recommend their classes! You are going to sweat, smile, and feel GREAT!!!
Salt is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Each instructor is unique, pair that with your best possible practice and you've got a bowl of sunshine everyday. Words can't express the level of love I have for this place, instructors and the awesome community.
I had a hard time finding the studio, it was close to the time of when the session was starting. I called in and the person who answered (sorry forgot your name) she was so nice so patient with me, came outside of the studio to flag me down. I felt so at ease when she checked me in.
Your first hot yoga class at SALT Yoga
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
