From the reviews
I’m an old Shop owner and Fire Fighter. I Have worked hard all my life. My knees, back, shoulders, joints and mind were just wore out. A friend of mine recommended yoga. I bounced around to different studios and ended up finding Updog. I Love the atmosphere and hot yoga. Kris is a fantastic teacher. Great Music and Vibes.
Updog is a clean, cozy, comfortable studio with indoor and outdoor spaces to get your practice on to suit your whims. The owner, Annie, is fully tuned into the daily operations, and Kris remains my fave instructor. She has the sneakiest way of kicking butt and sending you home smelling like lavender and lemongrass.
I recently joined some friends for a Breathwork session at Updog Yoga in Tulsa, and it was nothing short of extraordinary! Our instructor, Sue, wove pure magic with her quartz crystal singing bowls, setting a vibe that was both calming and profound.
The owner, Annie, truly cares about each of the students/members. This reaches beyond just her to the other instructors too. I feel like I’m part of a community. The classes and instructors are varied and professional. I know I will always get a good workout when I’m there.
Your first hot yoga class at Updog Yoga
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
