From the reviews
Shanti is such a beautiful and welcoming yoga center. Every class I’ve taken here has been meaningful and well-taught—but I have to give a special shoutout to Ryan. His class was one of the most impactful yoga experiences I’ve ever had.
I attended an Aerial workshop at Shanti Yoga center and it couldn't have been better. The pace and feel of the class was inviting and encouraging. You could take it easy or challenging which made it good for all skill levels. Aerial yoga is fun and puts a twist on yoga, I recommend you give it a try.
I recently endured an immense amount of trauma in my life and utilized Shanti Yoga Center to realign my energy. Spoiler alert, it worked! The power of yoga to relieve trauma is instrumental and all the instructors at Shanti Yoga Center are all top notch.
Shanti is such a welcoming inclusive space and I would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the st cloud area! Jessie has been SUPER accommodating on making sure I find the best yoga practice for the time and money I have available at this time, in addition to the teachers being involved in teaching you about yoga.
Teacher training at Shanti Yoga Center
Shanti Yoga Center comes up for teacher training — confirmed on their own site. If you're thinking about becoming an instructor, a few things are worth asking up front. First, which certification the program leads to — most hot-yoga trainings are Yoga Alliance registered (RYT-200 or RYT-500), and the style matters: a Bikram or hot-power lineage trains differently than a hot-vinyasa or sculpt one. Second, the schedule and prerequisites — cohorts often run in intensive weekend blocks or over several months, and many studios want you practicing regularly there first. Third, cost and payment plans, and whether tuition includes an unlimited membership for the training period. Teacher training is a real commitment of time and money, so it's worth a call or an info session before you enroll.
Your first hot yoga class at Shanti Yoga Center
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
