Wow, this place is incredible! As a newcomer to the yoga world, I found it a bit intimidating at first. However, Shores Yoga has created a safe space for learning and simply being. All the instructors are kind and offer assistance without overshadowing the class.
Good vibes! Yoga Shores has been my very first in person yoga class experience(s). Even after my initial experience it still has been very rewarding. I leave feeling even better than before I've arrived!!! It's not as huge of a space...but, for the most part there is enough room move freely.
Our family loves this place. We attended the family classes, as well as the Kid's Yoga (5-12). Ms. Jody works during the day in Elementary Education and her experience and patience with the littles is very apparent. I could not recommend this studio enough.
I’ve been going to Shores Yoga for several years. Such a great community spot! The instructors are all knowledgeable and have their own styles so everyone can find the right class for what they need. Some days you might want a hot vinyasa and other days you need yin or anything in between.
Your first hot yoga class at Shores Yoga
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
