From the reviews
This is honestly the best hot yoga studio I’ve ever been a member of. (And I've moved around a lot and practiced at quite a few excellent studios.) The space is super clean and welcoming, which is pretty standard for local studios, but SOL has this atmosphere of compassionate body awareness that's kind of magical.
After stepping away from in person studios for a few years, I finally came back to Sol and instantly remembered why I love it here. It’s a really special feeling when all of the instructors genuinely remember you and it feels like catching back up with an old friend. The studio itself (hello, new upstairs space!!
Before I left the neighborhood I practiced here almost daily. I loved the atmosphere, instructors, and many daily class times. Sol is a great reason to move to Mt Baker/Leschi, especially for summer morning classes on the dock.
This studio feels like such a sanctuary. The studio is beautiful and has such a peaceful ambience. All the instructors are excellent, and the environment is welcoming and inclusive. So glad to have found SOl Yoga!
Your first hot yoga class at SOL Yoga
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
