From the reviews
I’ve practiced yoga for nearly 20 years at over 200 studios internationally. The Om Lounge is in a league of its own. While recovering from a disabling injury a few years ago, I decided to try a new studio in my neighborhood, The Om Lounge. When I walked in the door, I felt immediately at home.
I highly recommend taking a class at the OM Lounge in the Strip District. The studio is absolutely gorgeous with the perfect mixture of edgy, calm and spiritual. All of the teachers are friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating.
Not only is this space absolutely GORGEOUS, the perfect mix of industrial and zen, but the entire staff is so friendly and welcoming. Quick to greet you, remember your name and assist with any issues or concerns you might have.
I'm usually not one to write reviews on things that I like or don't like, but after taking a class with Emily at 5:45 on Wednesdays, I felt like I owed it to her. Emily is probably the best teacher I've had.
Teacher training at The Om Lounge Studios - Yoga | Sculpt | Bounce
The Om Lounge Studios - Yoga | Sculpt | Bounce comes up for teacher training — confirmed on their own site. If you're thinking about becoming an instructor, a few things are worth asking up front. First, which certification the program leads to — most hot-yoga trainings are Yoga Alliance registered (RYT-200 or RYT-500), and the style matters: a Bikram or hot-power lineage trains differently than a hot-vinyasa or sculpt one. Second, the schedule and prerequisites — cohorts often run in intensive weekend blocks or over several months, and many studios want you practicing regularly there first. Third, cost and payment plans, and whether tuition includes an unlimited membership for the training period. Teacher training is a real commitment of time and money, so it's worth a call or an info session before you enroll.
Your first hot yoga class at The Om Lounge Studios - Yoga | Sculpt | Bounce
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
