From the reviews
Wonderful studio! I love the space and the instructors, as well as the variety of yoga, Pilates, and barre classes. They have plenty of mats that are free to borrow, which I also appreciate. Warm and welcoming!
I’ve been a member of this neighborhood Eastie yoga studio since 2019, and it has truly been a constant support through two of my pregnancies and beyond. I attended prenatal classes during both pregnancies, and they were incredibly thoughtful, safe, and empowering—exactly what I needed during those times.
I moved to East Boston recently and was looking for a place to take yoga and pilates classes - so glad I found The Point! My first two classes were great - I took one vinyasa class and one pilates class, and both were exactly what I had expected: challenging, but approachable.
Absolutely love having The Point in the neighborhood- how would I ever get a workout in otherwise?! The awesome thing is that I can make it work sometimes early in the morning, sometimes during lunch and other times after the kids are in bed.
Your first hot yoga class at The Point Barre and Yoga
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel (or rent them here), water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
