Love this place! Everyone is so nice! Love the instructors!! Awesome..you can tell they want to help others and love what they do! Acupuncture is such an amazing experience and has helped me so much! Chinese herbs are available too and has helped me in ways never imagined!
Its a truly great place! Hot yoga class is a magic experience, especially for those who cant free your minds like me. Few classes later I realized that Im not thinking about anything else at all, but myself. Also I was impressed with my improvement in doing poses I couldn't do at my first class. P.S.
I have been going to TriBalance for over 15 years now, and in my experience this is the best yoga place in the Chicago land area!!! It has a very spiritual and earthy vibe, rooms are spacious and clean, classes are designed well, and instructors demonstrate yogic living in their messages and way of teaching.
We have a great working relationship with Tribalance. Our staff personally love the classes as its great diversification to what we offer and they always take care of our clients when we send them over.
Teacher training at Tribalance Yoga
Tribalance Yoga comes up for teacher training — confirmed on their own site. If you're thinking about becoming an instructor, a few things are worth asking up front. First, which certification the program leads to — most hot-yoga trainings are Yoga Alliance registered (RYT-200 or RYT-500), and the style matters: a Bikram or hot-power lineage trains differently than a hot-vinyasa or sculpt one. Second, the schedule and prerequisites — cohorts often run in intensive weekend blocks or over several months, and many studios want you practicing regularly there first. Third, cost and payment plans, and whether tuition includes an unlimited membership for the training period. Teacher training is a real commitment of time and money, so it's worth a call or an info session before you enroll.
Your first hot yoga class at Tribalance Yoga
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
