From the reviews

I have been going to Uplift since it pretty much opened. Ashly (owner) has so much background in yoga and fitness. She is the sweetest person and deserves all the support! I also enjoy the mild heat sessions like Pilates and Sculpt Strength.

★★★★★ — Mary, Sep 2025

Ashly always brings a super great class! Fun, Challenging, Encouraging and Peaceful. The people are amazing, fun, friendly and you get a sense they really care. The Studio and Locker rooms are everything you would want in a yoga, studio, wonderful lighting, clean and spacious. What’s not to love!

★★★★★ — Tommy, Nov 2025

I’ve taken both Hot Power and Mild Heat classes and love the variety. The classes are tough in the best way, and I definitely love the sweat. I knew I needed more mindfulness in my life and I’m so glad I’ve built it in here it’s been a great way to manage stress.

★★★★★ — Anna, Jan 2026

I love the clean new studio and the classes all kick my booty! Ashly and Charity are great instructors and I’m sure all of the teachers are amazing. At 66 this month, yoga has kept me strong mentally, physically and emotionally since I was 40.

Teacher training at Uplift Hot Yoga

Uplift Hot Yoga comes up for teacher training — confirmed on their own site. If you're thinking about becoming an instructor, a few things are worth asking up front. First, which certification the program leads to — most hot-yoga trainings are Yoga Alliance registered (RYT-200 or RYT-500), and the style matters: a Bikram or hot-power lineage trains differently than a hot-vinyasa or sculpt one. Second, the schedule and prerequisites — cohorts often run in intensive weekend blocks or over several months, and many studios want you practicing regularly there first. Third, cost and payment plans, and whether tuition includes an unlimited membership for the training period. Teacher training is a real commitment of time and money, so it's worth a call or an info session before you enroll.

Your first hot yoga class at Uplift Hot Yoga

Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.

Heat and intense exercise aren't right for everyone — if you're pregnant or have heart, blood-pressure, or other health concerns, check with a doctor before your first hot class.
