From the reviews
I have given a few instructors good reviews from the Garden City location, today my review is for Jorge B. at the Meridian location. I am cutting weight for a fitness competition and I usually do the traditional Signature Series. By accident, I went to Sculpt and Flow. I am in LOVE!
Crazy hard workout. If I didn't feel such an accomplishment from doing this class and absolutely love Angelica and Linsey I might look elsewhere. Alicia on Saturdays is great too. They restructured the expiration date on the 10 package and it severely is a negative affect on my pay structure.
YogaSix has been “my yoga studio” for the past 5yrs! I love everything about it! From the quality of classes to the wonderful & knowledgeable yoga teachers! As a matter fact, I was so impressed that 3 years ago I went through their yoga teacher training!
I live within walking distance of the Meridian Yoga6 and since my first class I’ve been hooked! I was absolutely humbled in the beginning but kept coming back because of how amazing I felt afterwards. My back pain is gone, my sleep is better, my mobility has improved significantly.
Teacher training at YogaSix North Meridian
YogaSix North Meridian comes up for teacher training — confirmed on their own site. If you're thinking about becoming an instructor, a few things are worth asking up front. First, which certification the program leads to — most hot-yoga trainings are Yoga Alliance registered (RYT-200 or RYT-500), and the style matters: a Bikram or hot-power lineage trains differently than a hot-vinyasa or sculpt one. Second, the schedule and prerequisites — cohorts often run in intensive weekend blocks or over several months, and many studios want you practicing regularly there first. Third, cost and payment plans, and whether tuition includes an unlimited membership for the training period. Teacher training is a real commitment of time and money, so it's worth a call or an info session before you enroll.
Your first hot yoga class at YogaSix North Meridian
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
