The styles they teach
“Sculpt & Flow is a great workout, and the Power Flow and Signature Hot classes are challenging but leave me feeling super relaxed afterward.”
“I’ve taken the sculpt class with Karen and she is so uplifting, positive and the class has a very personable feel without being too intense.”

From the reviews
I absolutely enjoy the YogaSix Highland Park location. The studio is always spotless, which makes every class feel comfortable and welcoming. I really appreciate the little details—having towels available during the workout and cooling towels afterward is such a thoughtful touch and makes a big difference.
I tried a Y6 Restore class and it was exactly what I didn’t know I needed. The class is slow, grounded, and focused on stretching and opening the body—I felt my hips, lower back, and shoulders release in a way that felt really good (not forced or intense).
A couple friends referred me to try out one of their classes and I ended up tagging along to Power Flow with Nikki. I seriously can’t rave enough about how amazing the experience was!! Her class was incredible!!
YogaSix Highland Park was a wonderful partner for our Highland Park/Highwood Professional Moms Wind Down for the Weekend event on Nov. 7. Nikki taught a relaxing, beautiful 30-minute class and then Karen provided us space to network and have snacks in the lobby of the studio. We had around 15 women attend.
Teacher training at YogaSix Highland Park
YogaSix Highland Park comes up for teacher training — confirmed on their own site. If you're thinking about becoming an instructor, a few things are worth asking up front. First, which certification the program leads to — most hot-yoga trainings are Yoga Alliance registered (RYT-200 or RYT-500), and the style matters: a Bikram or hot-power lineage trains differently than a hot-vinyasa or sculpt one. Second, the schedule and prerequisites — cohorts often run in intensive weekend blocks or over several months, and many studios want you practicing regularly there first. Third, cost and payment plans, and whether tuition includes an unlimited membership for the training period. Teacher training is a real commitment of time and money, so it's worth a call or an info session before you enroll.
Your first hot yoga class at YogaSix Highland Park
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
