From the reviews
Have been a member for 2 years and improved my health in general. Love the studio for the variety of classes it offers. My favorite classes are the Sculp and flows classes with Golnaz and Taylor.
Took my first class at Yoga 6 with instructor Nitika, and it was absolutely fantastic! The perfect mix of relaxation, core work, and deep stretching—I left feeling both recharged and challenged in the best way. If you’re post-30 with bills and stress, this is exactly the hour a week you need to reset.
I’ve been trying yoga studios for years, and YogaSix Sunnyvale is the one that keeps calling me back. The location is perfect — right in downtown Sunnyvale with super easy parking — and the space itself is brand new, clean, and really cute.
I am so grateful YogaSix opened in Sunnyvale almost two years ago. There is a great variety of classes and instructors to stay motivated with one's practice. The front desk specialists are always welcoming and awesome, too. I feel fortunate to be part of this community.
Teacher training at YogaSix Sunnyvale
YogaSix Sunnyvale comes up for teacher training — confirmed on their own site. If you're thinking about becoming an instructor, a few things are worth asking up front. First, which certification the program leads to — most hot-yoga trainings are Yoga Alliance registered (RYT-200 or RYT-500), and the style matters: a Bikram or hot-power lineage trains differently than a hot-vinyasa or sculpt one. Second, the schedule and prerequisites — cohorts often run in intensive weekend blocks or over several months, and many studios want you practicing regularly there first. Third, cost and payment plans, and whether tuition includes an unlimited membership for the training period. Teacher training is a real commitment of time and money, so it's worth a call or an info session before you enroll.
Your first hot yoga class at YogaSix Sunnyvale
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
