From the reviews
Hi my name is Debra Grant, and I take classes from Zoa. I met Zoa at the College of Southern MD and took pilates from her. This was a natural step for me to continue classes with her. What I really like about Zoa is that she makes sure whatever class you take, the movements you do fit you individually.
The door at Zen and Vitality with Zoa opened in January only to abruptly close in March as her new normal was replaced by the pandemic. But Zoa Connor’s goals and ideals were not replaced. Her virtual new normal came with Zoom.
As a professional horse trainer / competitor and amateur triathlete I put my body through a lot of stress with training, competition and the occasional injury. I began taking the Athletic fascia class mostly out of curiosity.
I've taken Pilates classes with Zoa for several years. She is extraordinarily knowledgeable in a variety of Pilates and other wellness areas and has helped me build strength and correct weaknesses in my body that effect everything from how well I sleep to chronic or acute back pain.
Your first hot yoga class at Zen and Vitality with Zoa
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
