Having just moved to the area two months ago, I’m so happy to have found my yoga home. Atvara is a beautiful, calming and relaxing studio. They offer various classes in varying temperatures, but I’ve focused on hot yoga and have enjoyed every class.
Exactly what a yoga studio should be - warm (literally!), inviting, inclusive, and inspiring. I’ve been attending classes postpartum and it’s been the best thing I’ve done for myself in years.
This studio is 5 stars! I was displaced due to the hurricane in WNC and every single person that works at this studio made me feel right at home. The instructors are high quality and it's easy to get to with plenty of parking. If you are considering "trying out" a studio this one is it.
Wow, what a wonderful space! I had the pleasure of taking Cindy’s Mindful Flow class & let me tell you, it was everything I needed & more. I love the blend of sound healing, aromatherapy, somatic/lymphatic techniques, plus obviously the yoga poses. Her voice is just as soothing as ever also!

Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
