From the reviews
I had never been interested in Yoga until I was "strong armed" by my neighbor to try it out. The second class I took, I met the woman of my dreams. I married that woman and she is a teacher at Blue Cypress Hot Yoga Studio. Dreams come true when you commit to Yoga.
Blue Cypress Yoga is the best yoga studio I’ve ever been to. Everyone is so warm + welcoming and the atmosphere feels instantly relaxing! The studio is always spotless and the yoga teachers make their classes feel easy to follow - especially if you’re new to yoga. I always leave feeling amazing and renewed.
Blue Cypress Yoga is more than a yoga studio. It is a where you can start your day with the right frame of mind by setting your heart and intentions in a way that is meaningful to you. It is a place to come after a long day in the office, a hectic family schedule; a stressful time in your day, week or month.
I highly recommend Blue Cypress yoga studio! I went to a few classes while on vacation in Jacksonville. The vibe is on point as you walk in the door, filled with plants and cute things. They have a variety of yoga classes as well as a massage therapist on site.
Teacher training at Blue Cypress Yoga
Blue Cypress Yoga comes up for teacher training — confirmed on their own site. If you're thinking about becoming an instructor, a few things are worth asking up front. First, which certification the program leads to — most hot-yoga trainings are Yoga Alliance registered (RYT-200 or RYT-500), and the style matters: a Bikram or hot-power lineage trains differently than a hot-vinyasa or sculpt one. Second, the schedule and prerequisites — cohorts often run in intensive weekend blocks or over several months, and many studios want you practicing regularly there first. Third, cost and payment plans, and whether tuition includes an unlimited membership for the training period. Teacher training is a real commitment of time and money, so it's worth a call or an info session before you enroll.
Your first hot yoga class at Blue Cypress Yoga
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
