Love, love, love this studio! HOT YOGA is my favorite! It’s so much fun, and such a great physical and meditative experience. Michel is an excellent and knowledgeable teacher who takes all of her students’ needs into consideration so she can adjust and make modifications for students of all levels. Highly recommend!!!
Having been displaced by Hurricane Helene I needed to find a place for healing and Cape Fear Yoga and Wellness Center provided that for me. Michel assisted in getting me scheduled for a class, and was an incredible teacher as well!
Hot Yoga is my jam! I am so grateful to this studio for bringing it to the island. 3 weeks in at twice a week and I feel my stress reduction, my body is more flexible, and my mood is so much better! Yoga truly is for every body.
I have been taking group yoga lessons at Cape Fear Yoga and Wellness since September of last year. All four of the instructors I've practiced with have been, professional, knowledgeable, patient and kind. A special shout out to a fairly new instructor at the center, Consuelo Montserrat.
Your first hot yoga class at Cape Fear Yoga and Wellness Center
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
