The styles they teach
“Sculpt, C2 or Fusion are probably not appropriate for your first yoga class, they move pretty fast and the class style doesn't lend itself to the same level of refinement).”
“I'm addicted to the Sculpt classes - I always feel like it's my best workouts of the week Chelsey, Grace and Romy are all amazing and I highly recommend this studio!”

From the reviews
I love this studio, and have since I took my first class a couple years ago. It bums me out to see that a few people had bad first experiences as new students. There are certain instructors with whom I definitely feel a rapport, and others I don't.
I have been going to this location on and off for about 2 years. Beautiful variety of unique and talented instructors and fellow yogis. I find the classes consistently challenging and inspiring. My favorite classes being C2, hot yoga, and hot power fusion.
I am a very active person...hike, bike, running, kayaking and have tried many different exercises classes but out of all them C2 yoga is by far my favorite activity! Since I have started my strength, flexibility, conditioning and endurance has increased by leaps and bounds.
I love and miss my CorePower Yoga - Woodbury family!! You are guaranteed an amazing class that has grade-A instruction and a great workout for both your mind and body. My life changed in the most positive way the day I decided to try the free week at CPY in Woodbury (and then became a black tag member....
Teacher training at CorePower Yoga - Woodbury
CorePower Yoga - Woodbury comes up for teacher training, going by their listing and students’ reviews. If you're thinking about becoming an instructor, a few things are worth asking up front. First, which certification the program leads to — most hot-yoga trainings are Yoga Alliance registered (RYT-200 or RYT-500), and the style matters: a Bikram or hot-power lineage trains differently than a hot-vinyasa or sculpt one. Second, the schedule and prerequisites — cohorts often run in intensive weekend blocks or over several months, and many studios want you practicing regularly there first. Third, cost and payment plans, and whether tuition includes an unlimited membership for the training period. Teacher training is a real commitment of time and money, so it's worth a call or an info session before you enroll.
Your first hot yoga class at CorePower Yoga - Woodbury
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel (or rent them here), water, and a change of clothes — there are showers on site; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
