Dropped in for Bikram - OHY last week and Jolinda/the studio/the crowd was fantastic! I've visited many Bikram studios over the years and have always had a love/hate relationship with the Bikram ethos of the drill sergeant (ahem, instructor) barking the same orders and chastising people for sipping water out of turn…
Love the studio, energy, clientele, staff, and location. Specifically, Jolinda is the teach I have most experience with. She is a Rockstar Bikram specialized teacher who is inspiring in so many ways. Her instruction is personalized and welcoming to the newest and most advanced practitioners.
I love Veronica’s OHY classes. She creates a beautiful healing yoga experience… from watching room temperature, to guiding us with breathing, to keeping the pace moving with excellent prompts. She goes above and beyond with the little details making it feel more like a deep spiritual practice.

Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
