“And since I've joined they've added newer classes, like the Sculpt class and the Slow + Steady class, so it's nice to have that variety.”
“Mostly I love that there are classes of different types, the day before yesterday I did a yoga class with weights and yesterday I got to stretch out in a yin vin class.”
“The All Levels Vinyasa class hits the sweet spot for both beginners and seasoned yogis—it’s the perfect blend of strength, sweat, and stretch.”

From the reviews
My favorite yoga studio in Atlanta area! The best yoga classes that I’ve ever taken have been at HY at this location. I’ve taken many classes here and left the studio feeling challenged, strengthened, and empowered - ready to take on the world!
I’ve been practicing many different styles of yoga for the past 20 years and this past year has certainly been my season for high power flow & I cannot wait to keep growing in this practice. Why does this type of yoga suit me so well?
I love highland yoga, love that the studios are clean and organized, all of the teachers are so great. Mostly I love that there are classes of different types, the day before yesterday I did a yoga class with weights and yesterday I got to stretch out in a yin vin class.
I have been going to Highland Yoga on and off for years. I officially joined back in October with the five classes per month and it’s been great. All of the studios are so nice and the instructors are fantastic. I could not recommend more!
Teacher training at Highland Yoga - Virginia Highland
Highland Yoga - Virginia Highland comes up for teacher training — confirmed on their own site. If you're thinking about becoming an instructor, a few things are worth asking up front. First, which certification the program leads to — most hot-yoga trainings are Yoga Alliance registered (RYT-200 or RYT-500), and the style matters: a Bikram or hot-power lineage trains differently than a hot-vinyasa or sculpt one. Second, the schedule and prerequisites — cohorts often run in intensive weekend blocks or over several months, and many studios want you practicing regularly there first. Third, cost and payment plans, and whether tuition includes an unlimited membership for the training period. Teacher training is a real commitment of time and money, so it's worth a call or an info session before you enroll.
Your first hot yoga class at Highland Yoga - Virginia Highland
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
