From the reviews
I started at Humble Warrior Power Yoga back in March as someone completely new to yoga, and I genuinely couldn’t have found a better place to begin. From day one, everyone was so warm and welcoming — they learned my name, made me feel comfortable, and truly introduced me to the journey of yoga in such a meaningful way.
It can be scary joining a new studio and trying new classes but nothing could be farther from the truth at Hunble Warrior! From the moment you take your first class teachers and students alike are warm and welcoming, offering insights and suggestions on various practices and instructors.
My favorite yoga studio of all time. I live in downtown Portsmouth and drive to Exeter everyday for this gem. It's a wonderful, fun community of people, more amazing teachers than I can count, and a great selection of classes.
I usually go to the Manchester studio since it’s so close to me but every now and then I’ll take the trek out to Exeter for a class. What greets me every time is warmth, smiles, community and energy! Really live wire type energy, like something magical is about to happen. That’s because it is.
Teacher training at Humble Warrior Power Yoga Exeter
Humble Warrior Power Yoga Exeter comes up for teacher training — confirmed on their own site. If you're thinking about becoming an instructor, a few things are worth asking up front. First, which certification the program leads to — most hot-yoga trainings are Yoga Alliance registered (RYT-200 or RYT-500), and the style matters: a Bikram or hot-power lineage trains differently than a hot-vinyasa or sculpt one. Second, the schedule and prerequisites — cohorts often run in intensive weekend blocks or over several months, and many studios want you practicing regularly there first. Third, cost and payment plans, and whether tuition includes an unlimited membership for the training period. Teacher training is a real commitment of time and money, so it's worth a call or an info session before you enroll.
Your first hot yoga class at Humble Warrior Power Yoga Exeter
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
