I have been a member at Light House since it opened in 2019 and have found such a great community to sweat and laugh and do life with in it! The owner Lindsey is one of the sweetest humans I know and treats everyone who comes into Light House with not only respect, but also compassion and care!
This yoga studio is hands-down the best. It’s not like other places. The dark environment and top-quality facilities transport you to another world—for an hour. All instructors are very welcoming, even for people new to yoga or, like me, are out of shape. I recommend Light House Yoga & Fitness without reservation.
Hands down the best, most one of a kind yoga studios I have ever been to. The owners are amazing, kind, have good energy and awesome classes of their own Sarah and Angela 👏🏻. This place has the light and will be your home while you sweat it out and let it out.
Teacher training at LIGHT HOUSE Yoga + Fitness
LIGHT HOUSE Yoga + Fitness comes up for teacher training — confirmed on their own site. If you're thinking about becoming an instructor, a few things are worth asking up front. First, which certification the program leads to — most hot-yoga trainings are Yoga Alliance registered (RYT-200 or RYT-500), and the style matters: a Bikram or hot-power lineage trains differently than a hot-vinyasa or sculpt one. Second, the schedule and prerequisites — cohorts often run in intensive weekend blocks or over several months, and many studios want you practicing regularly there first. Third, cost and payment plans, and whether tuition includes an unlimited membership for the training period. Teacher training is a real commitment of time and money, so it's worth a call or an info session before you enroll.
Your first hot yoga class at LIGHT HOUSE Yoga + Fitness
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
