From the reviews
I didn’t take any photos but the studio is nice. Small but still has two rooms for practice, two locker rooms, and a small sitting area. The locker room is a bit chaotic because shoes and coats are taken in there too. It would be helpful if shoes could be removed before entering the studio or the locker room.
It was my first time at powerlife and I must say it was wonderful. It was something I wasn't used to. I just came for a free session with a few of my friends and had an amazing cardio session. It was a bit intense but the instructor was very encouraging. The atmosphere of the facility was great.
Obsessed with PowerLife. I'm new to Nebraska and wanted to get back into health/fitness. Everyone at the Aksarben location is so kind and the workouts are challenging. I love Hot Flow + Weights & Sculpt.
While visiting family in Omaha from San Diego, I decided to take a Monday Restore class at Power Life in Aksarben. As a yoga teacher who practices and teaches a variety of styles, I was excited to experience this studio’s take on a restorative class.
Teacher training at Power Life Yoga Barre Fitness - Aksarben
Power Life Yoga Barre Fitness - Aksarben comes up for teacher training — confirmed on their own site. If you're thinking about becoming an instructor, a few things are worth asking up front. First, which certification the program leads to — most hot-yoga trainings are Yoga Alliance registered (RYT-200 or RYT-500), and the style matters: a Bikram or hot-power lineage trains differently than a hot-vinyasa or sculpt one. Second, the schedule and prerequisites — cohorts often run in intensive weekend blocks or over several months, and many studios want you practicing regularly there first. Third, cost and payment plans, and whether tuition includes an unlimited membership for the training period. Teacher training is a real commitment of time and money, so it's worth a call or an info session before you enroll.
Your first hot yoga class at Power Life Yoga Barre Fitness - Aksarben
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
