From the reviews
edit: shortly after posting my original review, I was contacted by Power Life and they notified me that they saw my review and learned about an error in their cancelation system that lead to many others being charged after canceling too.
Joined Power Life a couple of years ago after my fiance suggested it would help my back pain as I was going to the chiropractor about once a week. These classes have helped build my core and saved a lot of trips (and money) to the chiro. The teachers are amazing and well trained.
I took my first class at Powerlife today and it was just what I needed to get back into yoga💛 The owner, Bri and her adorable golden retriever Molly are very friendly and welcoming. I took the power sculpt express class with Mattie and it was challenging in the best way possible!
Power Life is SUCH a GREAT environment and has made me feel welcomed EVERY class! I love how inclusive the classes are, you can be a 'novice' and still succeed. Although the classes are quick, they are effective in increasing your heart rate and creating a full-body workout. I cannot recommend Power Life enough!
Teacher training at Power Life Yoga Barre Fitness - South Plaza
Power Life Yoga Barre Fitness - South Plaza comes up for teacher training — confirmed on their own site. If you're thinking about becoming an instructor, a few things are worth asking up front. First, which certification the program leads to — most hot-yoga trainings are Yoga Alliance registered (RYT-200 or RYT-500), and the style matters: a Bikram or hot-power lineage trains differently than a hot-vinyasa or sculpt one. Second, the schedule and prerequisites — cohorts often run in intensive weekend blocks or over several months, and many studios want you practicing regularly there first. Third, cost and payment plans, and whether tuition includes an unlimited membership for the training period. Teacher training is a real commitment of time and money, so it's worth a call or an info session before you enroll.
Your first hot yoga class at Power Life Yoga Barre Fitness - South Plaza
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
