From the reviews

I love this place! Not just a yoga studio, I feel like a part of a community when I'm here. This studio has been a place of deep healing and growth for me since I've started attending classes regularly over the past couple years.

★★★★★ — Sally, Dec 2024

I've been attending RI Hot Yoga for the last month enjoying one of their generous trial memberships, and I think I'm hooked. The classes are challenging but I feel so great afterwards, the teachers are informed and competent but also kind and funny, and the other students around me of all shapes and sizes let me know…

★★★★★ — Amber, Apr 2024

I started coming to this studio a couple of months ago and love it! They have a nice variety of classes and I go for the more fitness focused ones (core fire, yoga sculpt, hells bells). The instructors are excellent and the overall studio is very welcoming.

★★★★★ — Eileen, Dec 2024

I consider myself fortunate to have few problems that an hour or two in the hot room can’t solve, or at least make better. Love coming here for the heat, the yoga and the community.

Teacher training at Rhode Island Hot Yoga

Rhode Island Hot Yoga comes up for teacher training — confirmed on their own site. If you're thinking about becoming an instructor, a few things are worth asking up front. First, which certification the program leads to — most hot-yoga trainings are Yoga Alliance registered (RYT-200 or RYT-500), and the style matters: a Bikram or hot-power lineage trains differently than a hot-vinyasa or sculpt one. Second, the schedule and prerequisites — cohorts often run in intensive weekend blocks or over several months, and many studios want you practicing regularly there first. Third, cost and payment plans, and whether tuition includes an unlimited membership for the training period. Teacher training is a real commitment of time and money, so it's worth a call or an info session before you enroll.

Your first hot yoga class at Rhode Island Hot Yoga

Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.

Heat and intense exercise aren't right for everyone — if you're pregnant or have heart, blood-pressure, or other health concerns, check with a doctor before your first hot class.
