From the reviews
Sumit yoga is special! The kindness, care and genuine people make everybody feel welcomed. Sumit himself is an extraordinary human being. The classes are amazing, benefiting mind and body and also cater to every level; there is also a nice variety of classes. My favorite classes are the flow classes.
“My experience at Sumits Yoga was nothing short of amazing. Practicing with Jennifer and Sumit himself allowed me to truly feel the love and passion for yoga that flows through this studio. The energy, guidance, and warmth they bring to each session create an environment where growth and connection thrive.
Very nice and a real hot yoga studio. They keep temperatures as advertised unlike some other hot yoga studios who don’t (Yoga Box). Great workouts with experienced teachers. You’ll leave feeling you’ve had the best (and challenging) workout in your life
From the moment you walk in, you feel the energy of a truly welcoming, supportive community. The staff are friendly, helpful, and make you feel comfortable right away, and the facilities are clean and well maintained. I took a hot yoga class with Kim Ewan, and she was fantastic.
Teacher training at Sumits Yoga North Scottsdale
Sumits Yoga North Scottsdale comes up for teacher training — confirmed on their own site. If you're thinking about becoming an instructor, a few things are worth asking up front. First, which certification the program leads to — most hot-yoga trainings are Yoga Alliance registered (RYT-200 or RYT-500), and the style matters: a Bikram or hot-power lineage trains differently than a hot-vinyasa or sculpt one. Second, the schedule and prerequisites — cohorts often run in intensive weekend blocks or over several months, and many studios want you practicing regularly there first. Third, cost and payment plans, and whether tuition includes an unlimited membership for the training period. Teacher training is a real commitment of time and money, so it's worth a call or an info session before you enroll.
Your first hot yoga class at Sumits Yoga North Scottsdale
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
