From the reviews
Absolutely love this place!! So glad I was able to attend the class it has been awhile since I’ve been to hot yoga specifically and so I was definitely out of shape and yet enjoyed this sunrise challenging class. The owner is so kind! Anna was the teacher for this class and loved her choice of flow.
That was a great class! I was in town just for the weekend and I'm glad I chose this studio for my Saturday class. The facility was clean and the shower was a great amenity. I also liked the instructor's choice of music and her pacing of the class.
The New Moon workshop my daughter and I attended was wonderful. The instructor was so thoughtful in her actions and intentions towards the group, it was a very special and unique event. I got more out of it emotionally than I can put into words. Plus it was a beautiful bonding experience for my daughter and I.
Excellent yoga studio and class! As a visitor in town, I was excited to find a welcoming yoga studio offering a variety of classes. I tried the Bikram 90 min class, and as a Vinayasa yogi, found it challenging and felt accomplished after class. Bring your mat, towel, water bottle and a change of clothes.
Teacher training at The Hot Yoga Spot
The Hot Yoga Spot comes up for teacher training — confirmed on their own site. If you're thinking about becoming an instructor, a few things are worth asking up front. First, which certification the program leads to — most hot-yoga trainings are Yoga Alliance registered (RYT-200 or RYT-500), and the style matters: a Bikram or hot-power lineage trains differently than a hot-vinyasa or sculpt one. Second, the schedule and prerequisites — cohorts often run in intensive weekend blocks or over several months, and many studios want you practicing regularly there first. Third, cost and payment plans, and whether tuition includes an unlimited membership for the training period. Teacher training is a real commitment of time and money, so it's worth a call or an info session before you enroll.
Your first hot yoga class at The Hot Yoga Spot
Nervous about your first hot class? Almost everyone is, and a good studio expects beginners to walk in the door. Here's what to know. What to expect: the room is heated, so it feels intense for the first few minutes — rest in child's pose any time you need to, no one will bat an eye. Hydrate: drink water through the day before class, not just as you arrive, and bring a bottle. What to bring: a mat and towel, water, and a change of clothes; wear something light you don't mind sweating through, and skip a heavy meal in the couple of hours beforehand. Arrive 10–15 minutes early to sign in and set up. It gets easier fast — most people say their third class feels completely different from their first.
